We are now in the midst of the final leg of the Passion world tour. Over the past several days we have been to mexico city and Vancouver. As I am writing this I am somewhere over the pacific headed to seoul.
Grandes cosas por venir
Grandes cosas se haran
En mexico
Mexico city was a two-day event held in the sports palace. Joining louie and me on this one was our good friend francis chan (who did half of his talk in Spanish. Very impressive). Kristian stanfill and the crowder band were rockin the place as well. And its always my favorite anytime Christy nockels shares the stage with me.
Another special thing for me was having my cousin, alisa Duncan at the event as well. She has been on mission to mexico for the past several years and its been a long time since I’ve seen her. When we were younger, We spent many summers at my grandparents lake house together, so it was really nice seeing her again. Thanks for coming alisa!
Then on to Vancouver. What can I say? I had such an amazing sense about this night as soon as we arrived at the gm place (home of the Vancouver canucks). It was electric in that place. A couple of memories I will take with me from this tour happened last night in Vancouver. For one, singing “my chains are gone” seemed to have so much weight to it and I thought that roof was going to explode by the volume of the voices. It was as if most of the place really got the truth of what we were saying in that song.
On a lighter note, at the end of the night, “sing, sing, sing” was just crazy. So crazy that right in front of me this guy gets on a friend’s shoulders, takes his shirt off and just starts twirling it for all he’s got. Jesse and I got a kick out of him. I guess maybe he was having an “undignified, king david” moment. Rock on!
Thank you mexico and b.c. for getting this final leg off to a beautiful start. Your hospitality and generosity is amazing.
